Hey, as I already said great video but I have a question, could you, once the entire situation has been settled, make another conclusion/summary video about the fifty fifty case? Sadly i still see many people who are terribly misinformed and still believe many of the lies spread by the givers. love your videos and hope to see you soon! I am American and from the beginning it was obvious FIFTY FIFTY was caught in a fight between 2 CEO's. One, ATTRAKT, who is stupid and the other, GIVERS. who is greedy and a liar. FIFTY FIFTY will side with the GIVERS since that CEO spent time with them and made them successful. Too bad because he wanted it all and to get all he had to convince the girls to break their exclusive contract with ATTRAKT. What might have been for these girls?😮😢

You can take the paparazzi off of the bottom, but you can't take the bottom feeder out of the paparazzi.

Since I used to sell camera in retail, I tune in to camera gear sites. The photographic community around these sites have largely dismissed the concerns surrounding this event. Obviously, you get the comments mockingly asking, “who?” and just saying that what the paparazzi did was “technique”. I don’t think the people you need to understand what happened are ever going to listen.

As an American, i am so embrassed by this. Oh dear God, these boys didnt deserve this. Bang Chan did well by getting them out of that situation. This is one of the reasons why no one likes Americans. And yes, all 8 of them speak English. Some better than others, but specially Felix and chan...who are Korean Australian. Lol

What is more frustrating is how Koreans didn't seem to care about their people and even made fun of Stray Kids for being 'unprofessional' and 'unfashionable'. I'm not sure if that is the majority because I'm not fluent in Korean and only read the news that is translated, but it is shocking enough that there are at least *some* Koreans who think like that!

Thanks for explaining your perspective. I think you are unintentionally paying the paparazzi a compliment by taking their opinions seriously. They are the least trusted and least respected profession in the English-speaking world. They are rude, crude, in your face, and behave outrageously to all kinds of celebrities, and have been doing this for decades. They're even complicit in the death of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales. They are invasive, blatantly disrespectful and altogether despicable. I suppose they don't get in trouble much because they are freelancers and are not employed by a particular media company like you have been. I mean, if a very drunk guy at a pub said to you, "Stray Kids look like robots", would you feel insulted? Or would you just think, "What a total moron. He doesn't even know what he's talking about." That is the same amount of weight I would give to the paparazzi's opinions. It sounds like you fear the paps made Stray Kids look bad? In fact, the only ones who look bad are the embarrassingly ignorant paps, and by extension, whoever allowed them into the event to photograph the celebrities. The event organizers could have found actual reputable journalists and photographers instead, couldn't they? Also, I would love to see how the paps treated other groups or other celebrities in general so we could have a comparison to determine if they are even ruder to K-pop or to non-western celebrities than they are to American, or English-speaking celebs. I would be extremely surprised if Stray Kids are the only ones who were treated that way. I don't think the paps care if the celebrities can hear them spout their ignorant nonsense. The paparazzi never seem to face any consequences of their actions. Another comment said something along the lines of "if the paparazzi behaved like that to American celebrities, they would be fired" or something. How many paparazzi have ever been fired? Their status as freelancers and that they seem to have no conscience lets them get away with way too much. It would have been better if more of the western media had called out the paps + the event organizers but they're probably afraid of being retaliated against/having their event access cut off. I don't think those are adequate excuses, though. Do you think an apology from the event organizer to Stray Kids would make things better? And a promise to keep paparazzi away from the met gala in the future, and only have accredited journalists there? Another comment mentioned that James Corden had been rude about K-pop? Is there anybody on the planet who cares what James Corden thinks about anything? Anyway, Stray Kids are awesome and behaved like classy professionals in a trying situation! I remember hearing about this. The way kpop acts are treated over here makes me not want them to attend western events anymore at all. Between James Corden making fun of kpop and its fans to American award shows inviting kpop groups because they know it brings in viewership but not respecting the idols, I'm sick of it. Kpop deserves to succeed, but no amount of validation is worth this level of disrespect and racism.

Thank you for speaking up about this! It was absolutely disgusting how they were treated. If this was towards any other American celebrity they would be fired and reprimanded. But I'm more furious towards the Met Gala for not saying anything. This is why I really hope agencies/companies start demanding more respect for their groups. They don't need to cater to western media but quite the opposite, western media needs kpop bc they bring in so many fans which equals more clicks and money.

I am from America, and Motown was founded by Berry Gordy. Motown provided training for their artists in singing, dancing, costumes, and choreography. Our system was different from the training programs in South Korea and Japan, but there was a similar training program at Motown. In the 80s and 90s, we had more boys' and girls' groups than the Backstreet Boys. What I admire about K-pop groups is their dedication and commitment to their fans. Some of our solo artists and singing groups in America also have strong connections with their fan base, but it's different in many ways. What could work is a Korean American group who can speak Korean and English. I've noticed that K-groups are using American and European producers and songwriters for their songs. I also noticed that hip-hop and R&B influences are woven into some K-group songs and dance moves too. Black culture has historically pioneered music, dance, and fashion. The last thing is in America it's rarely a singing group that stays together.

I remember when pretty much anything Japanese was actually cool. They kind of loss their status. It went beyond pop culture. Many young people don't believe me when I tell them. Sony was kind of the "it" company for electronics. If you had a Panasonic/ Pioneer, it was kind of a status symbol,.You knew who made the top tier stuff, of the highest quality. Now they are kind of seen as subpar or totally irrelevant to Samsung. Which is kind of crazy because Samsung was kind of seen as a piece of crap. Now Samsung is the "it" company for Asian brands.

This is the most simple breakdown, and its basic music industry shenanigans. Fame and popularity are bad drugs to some people and greed arises.

I am mad at Maho, as she killed Yamada Noe's reputation. All fans started suspecting Noe being involved, while Noe wasn't really part of anything except laughing at a bad joke.

Up to last year, this analysis was spot on. Babymetal was pretty much the only one consistently touring abroad with Atarashi Gakko, Perfume, One OK Rock and bands like Scandal, Band-Maid, and one or two more doing their own limited thing. Things have changed this year with Ado and Yoasobi also holding global tours and One OK Rock doing some kind of arena tour in Asia ( - fine 👍👌) and in Europe and the US ( arenas? reckless?!?!? 🤔). XG is also said to be doing a global tour, this year, as is Atarashi Gakko. In fact, the only one who has not announced anything is Babymetal, but they just completed a massive tour of some 25 countries with 80 odd performances and have a number of festival appearances and collaborations lined up since late last year and have stated that they have no plans to hold anything in Japan for the current year. There were also hints of multiple international tours coming up. I think after Sakura Miyawaki and Yurina Hirate joining HYBE, the likes of Sony and Avex are beginning to get the jitters, so to speak. The last thing they want is the best talent from Japan joining Korean companies in search for international fame.

Calling the (young) girls "greedy" "money hungry animals" is so irritating when they actually were manipulated by those grubby old men. If they were only in it for the fame and money, they wouldn't have even chosen to debut in ASSRAKTS unknown ass company. They were young talented girls who had dreams & ambitions, is it so wrong to ask your music label why they aren't getting ANY money from their hit song? They left & risked everything for their debut, they deserved to get money from their CAREER they worked their ass off for.

I agree with UA-cam making it easier for kpop becoming more popular. In the late 90s and earl 2000s it was expensive being a jpop fan I remember albums costing like $50 plus shipping.

I forgot how I discovered boa but it was only her jpop. I thought she was good back then before UA-cam it was hard seeing music videos so I didn’t see much.

This was a pretty cool video. I been listening to some music I used to listen to and Heartsdales came up. I wondered what happened to them and it’s the same as it was back then. Good video!

I also discovered 2PM late in the game. I am an older American who loves Kdramas. I always research the cast in the shows. This is how I connected Lee Junho and Taecyeon. Of course, this led me to the 2 PM mvs . I am now obsessed with them. I am watching all the content on UA-cam and the Kdramas. My biggest wish is to see them in concert but I doubt that will happen any time soon. Thank you for this video about 2PM!

But that's why I like Jpop over Kpop, it sounds different than western music. I love the royal road chord progression and Japanese have some of the best guitarists. Funny, i went from 80's music to Jpop. A lot of 90s Jpop really had an 80's sound. I grew up with Jpop. I'll die with it too.
